Position Summary

The future of Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) is bright, and you’ll play a role in contributing to our mission of innovating our business and creating an unparalleled customer experience. You’ll join a team responsible for the evolution and support of file transfers that power HSA Bank’s business applications and internal/external integrations. Your strong communication, creative thinking, and technical contributions managing file transfer configurations and maintenance are instrumental to servicing our external customers while partnering with the stakeholders.   A strong aptitude and willingness to troubleshoot issues, define root cause analysis, solve problems, adopt new technologies and participate in our after-hours on-call rotation with your peers will help you quickly learn, grow, and build trust.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Design, implement, and automate tasks to have a robust and scalable file transfer infrastructure.

  • Effectively manage customer demand (standard setups, custom setups, modifications, issues, training) within internal and external service level agreements.

  • Govern and safeguard data and privacy across the end-to-end file transfer process. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of data files to intended recipients. Adhere to security, risk, and privacy regulations and policies.

  • Participate in concurrent projects with some supervisory direction. Includes day-to-day tactical execution of key tasks that run the business. Streamline operational efficiency through automation of manual tasks or new solutions.

 

      Partnership and Communication

  • Develop relationships and trust by communicating effectively and keeping commitments with all IT/LOB functions. Plan the work and work the plan with your team. Proactively communicate progress and keep others informed from beginning to end.

  • Partner with other IT teams to meet each other’s needs and dependencies, adhering to IT policies and SLA’s.

 

Platform Support - 24x7

  • Our business runs 24x7, so you will need to be available for non-business hours support as part of the teams on-call rotation to ensure adequate coverage and timely response and resolution to Critical and High severity incidents. Utilize Knowledge Base and troubleshooting skills to identify root cause and resolve incidents.

  • Work with your manager and team to quickly respond, establish ownership, and resolve incidents assigned during business hours to your support queue within internal and external service levels.

  • Limited or routine problem solving within scope of own position.

 

Continuous Improvement and Professional Development

  • Proactively engage manager, peers, and SME’s to continuously progress your knowledge of HSA Bank systems and processes. Ask questions and share suggestions about the systems you work on that may lead to operational efficiencies. Become a ‘Primary’ resource for assigned systems and technical competencies.

  • Continuously look for and seize opportunities to advance your skills and experience. Engage your manager and peers and ask for/utilize feedback. Have a personal drive to study and strive for related professional certifications, with a key interest in cloud computing platforms. [PB1] 

 

       Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience in an IT-related field required.

  • 2+ years of experience working in Managed File Transfer (MFT) technologies. Experience in the financial services or healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Ideal candidate will be action-oriented, accountable, decisive, resilient/adaptable to change, and able to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, IT peers, and business partners.

  • Moderate knowledge on PGP and SFTP/SSH encryption algorithms, data security, and compliance standards.

  • Basic to moderate knowledge of managed file protocols and technologies (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, SSH, SSL, HTTPS)

  • Basic knowledge of batch job scheduling, tools, and frameworks.

  • Basic technical proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, SQL stored procedures for MS SQL Server)

  • Basic experience managing file transfers in cloud-based environments. AWS certifications favorable.

  • Basic to moderate experience working with Jscape, AWS Transfer Family or other MFT services.

  • Basic understanding of ITIL process and tools (change control, incidents, service requests, CMDB)

  • Basic understanding with agile methodologies utilizing scrum and Kanban. Jira experience favorable.

 

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000USD to $80,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
